Lately I've been watching the BBC's Wonders of the Universe series. I particularly enjoyed the second episode, 'Stardust', in which Professor Brian Cox seeks to answer the biggest questions of all: what are we? And where do we come from? This is the inspiration behind today's star-studded Folksy finds...Constellation Asymmetric Hand felted & Turquoise Bead Necklace with Sterling Silver by Fibre ArtShooting Star Greeting Card by Old Wives TaleCustomised constellation cufflinks - Castor and Pollux by BookityHandmade and printed re-usable fabric gift wrap / furoshiki in blue and silver by LittlesparkWooden star ring by Cosmic EdenTaupe, claret and blue retro atomic circle brooch by ::sallyent::Cosmic Champ - Bath Bomb by Septima Soap Co.Au Chemical Element Gold Mirror Necklace geek by Finest ImaginaryBlue Star Light Catcher by Merlin Stained GlassHappy star gazing!

Hello there, Folksians! This week I wanted to look at some fashion; specifically some things with a naughty but nice edge...and I've found a whole host of beautifully designed and made pieces that fit the bill. We all know craft is cool, and now it's getting sexy, as this bundle of saucy treasures goes to show. Enjoy! Hatastic has upcycled an old summer hat into this fresh new headpiece, the Butterfly Bow Fascinator. And she's sure selling it with this photo, with lingerie by Ayten Gasson - a great doubling up of talents! CurlyBonesCreations has created this dramatic, black bustle. You'd sure make a grand entrance! All shapes are catered for by Oh My Honey, with a selection of these fun and sexy 1950's style dresses. Look cute and sassy on the beach this summer with this flirty, pin up 'Pearl' bikini by Little Beach Swimwear, which manages to be both current and perfectly retro. These Red Satin Burlesque Bow shoe clips are ever so sweet. Seriously Satin Bows has made them for you to jazz up your current shoes. I think they might make you feel just a little bit kittenish and naughty. Enjoy retro summer days in the sun, with this adorable little nautical pill box hat made by KittyPink. Get yourself beside the seaside and whistle at some sailors!Another hat, a different mood. Two things I love here. The black veiled mini top hat by Topperhats looks beautifully made and is terribly seductive, while the photograph totally sells it; fabulous photography and a stunning model. Sublimely done. I want one. I think these are to die for! Harlequin Frills High Waist Briefs by Lilly Wiggler Couture, available in this colourway or in black and white. Also see Lilly's other brilliant underwear in her shop, including bras to match these knickers. You couldn't help but feel exceptionally glamourous, fanning yourself with these gorgeous feathers. This huge ostrich feather fan by Talulah Blue Burlesque is available in a selection of colours to suit your mood. That's all folks! I hope this has been an inspiration to get scouring Folksy for some sassy finds. I'm off to dance with my feather fan. See you next time!

Sunday 24th April is Easter Day. I love Easter; it signifies the joy of Spring, marks new life, new beginnings, and when I was a child it also meant there were PRESENTS! I would also be bought a chocolate egg; my brother and I had competitions to see who could make theirs last longest (he always won, should you be interested; he could make an Easter egg last for weeks). Anyway, this week I've selected a few of my favourite Folksy items along an Easter theme; cue BUNNIES! Enter CHICKENS! Bring on the EGGS! Treat yourself, or your friends and family to something that's been handmade with care and...ahem...to the most egg-sacting standards (I'm sorry). Gorgeous rabbit cushion by Black Cactus in London Delicious bathtime fun with this bright yellow soap by Shoples Perfect for keeping your rings or bits and pieces in, or for using as a soap dish, Spring Chicken bowls by Prince Design UK Dress up for Easter! I am bewitched by this lacy, bunny ears headband by Talulah Blue A beautifully symbolic and grown up gift for someone very special, this silver 'Nest' by Pea Pod Jewellery is a truly special keepsake. These upcycled egg cosies by The Juicy Fig will keep your boiled eggs warm in pretty, vintage style! Keep your loose change safe in this cute as can be Blue Tweed Bunny Purse by The Linen Cat. Less calories than the real thing, but just as nice, knit yourself some Easter treats using this pattern from Craft Confections. Send a cool card, like this one by Ribbonreal, made using vintage kimono fabric. I love my kitsch...and this darling piece of jewellery is no exception! How nice is this vintage look chicken brooch by Silk Purse, Sow's Ear? Happy Easter, Folksy Folks!
